A compass is an essential navigation instrument. The singular purpose of a compass is to tell you what direction you are always heading in, which prevents you from getting lost. Typically, hikers rely on compasses to get them to their destinations. However, a single wrong turn can be disastrous, even life-threatening. But, by always knowing where north is located with your compass, finding your way accurately is simple.

Make sure you understand how a compass’s needle works before you embark on an adventure. Locating the directions on the compass is vital, and you will find your way by always knowing where your true north is. Jesus is our true north. Solomon writes, “Where there is no vision, the people perish” (Proverbs 29:18). Our vision comes from God, and dreams come to light when we follow Jesus Christ.

Compare a compass to a mission; both provide direction. Yet a compass works more efficiently with maps (scripture) because you can point to the direction of your destination by relying on the map. Our roadmap is our mission.

The mission of First Church Milton is to serve God by spreading the gospel and connecting people to God and people for Jesus Christ.

Faith:We base our actions on our belief and trust in God and his Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ.

Love:We express love to others through Christ-like generosity of spirit by putting others ahead of ourselves.

Integrity:Our foundation of strong moral values leads us to honest relationships and respect for all God’s children.

Spiritual Development:We nurture people of all ages to grow in faith, hope, knowledge, and wisdom so that all may accept the fullness of God’s grace and unconditional love.

Worship:We create an atmosphere of reverence for everyone through various experiences.

Jesus Christ is our true north, and our mission is the roadmap. When we rely on Jesus Christ, God will guide the Church in the right direction.

Stay Faithful, and Remember, YOU, Matter,
